The Roswell UFO Incident

Someone named Mac Brazel, reported to the sheriff of Chaveles County about some strange materials on a ranch and was sure it was the remains of a flying saucer. Then the sheriff passed that information to the Roswell Army Air Force, Then Major Jessie Marcel, was immediately looked into this. The debris didn't look like it landed, it crashed. By the end of July 8th, the U.S army studied the debris and found out it was only a weather balloon that crashed. So they told the news press to print it was only a weather balloon. So the UFO incident died down until 1978.
The aftermath
When Stanton Friedman gave a speech about UFO's on February 21st, when he interviewed a scientist over the phone who said he handled debris from a saucer crash. Freidman did not get excited about this. It was even harder to claim because the man, Jessie Marcel, couldn't remember the month or year he handled the crash. One year later, Friedman found the clippings to the affair that Jessie referred, and his and Friedman's interest suddenly became alive.
